Lisa and Kevin contacted me last summer to as if I could photograph their wedding. They live in Canada, in a town called Woodstock, about two hours away from Toronto. Luckily, I still had their wedding dates available. After some confusion over the time difference between Canada and the UK, we had a hilarious Skype conversation at 2am in the morning, to talk about the big day. It was exciting, as it’s not every day that you get a chance to photograph a wedding on the other side of the Atlantic.
A few months later and I hopped on a plane to Toronto. The wedding ceremony was going to be held at the local golf club. I was invited to play golf with Kevin and his friends the day before the wedding. Of course I took my camera. Canada has the most amazing light. It allowed me to use a fast shutter speed, making my job as a photographer much easier. The results were amazing.
On the day of the wedding I first visited a hotel next to wedding venue. I photographed Lisa getting ready and Kevin having fun with his groomsmen playing cards.
We were extremely lucky with the weather, especially as the entire wedding was planned for outdoors. A couple of days before the big day, there had been a major downpour. Luckily, the weather improved and we witnessed a most beautiful wedding ceremony.
